Poker glossary - for H.O.R.S.E poker

Hole Cards:

These are cards that each of the player receive for during the game. These cards are not shared in any way to other players.

Community Cards:

These cards are displayed face up. These cards are used by each player to complete their set of cards during the game.

Dealer-Button:

Little bigger than a regular plastic game chip, the dealer-button chip is used to mark the player who will be last to act in the hand. The dealer-button chip moves clockwise after every hand.

Blinds:

There are two types of blinds: the small and big blind. A small blind are called to the bet the starting player sets as the game commences. The big blind is the next bet the next player gives which is bigger compared to the initial bet.

Antes:

Are the bet that each player places in the pot before every start of each hand .

Betting Round:

A betting round is complete when everyone has already put forward their decision on their cards on a game (either fold or bet).

Under the Gun (UTG):

The first player to do something in that round (left to the big-blind).

Door Card:

Each player will have three cards and two of them will be facing down. The card that’s facing up is called the door card. This setting is found in a stud game.

Bring-in:

In a stud game, the player who will start the game is the player that has the worst card. Bring-in is the initial bet of the player at the start of that game. The bring-in bet usually half of the standard bet.

Order of Suit Ranking:

Spade, heart, club and diamond is the standard order of suit. we'll use it in the stud games ,to decide who plays first , if two or players have similar cards .

Eight or Better:

It’s a type of game wherein the highest hand shares the pot with the lowest hand. the lowest hand cannot have any card above eight A player may be able to have the lowest hand and the highest hand in the same game based on this setting.
